The Diocese of Niassa is building a new church training hub with accommodation in Nampula for the huge Lurio region. There are plans for this area to become the new missionary Diocese of Lurio with Nampula as the centre. This will be used for training for locally ordained priests, lay leaders, mothers union, and community development & field workers teams. This will also be where Bishop Manuel will be based.
