The next MANNA newsletter will be the 100th edition. It’s history is rich & varied and a set of the old magazines exists as part of the USPG archives, held in the Bodleian Library in Oxford. Originally called ‘Lebombo Leaves’, it makes for fascinating and sometimes uncomfortable reading.

And yet, the stories still sound familiar; of struggles with floods, food shortages & finance, lack of educational opportunities & illness all entwined with an unswerving faith in an Almighty and Loving God.

To mark this momentous occasion, during Advent, there will be a social media campaign: #ThenandNow (also documented here on the website) which will show photos from the archives and what we can pray for now in Mozambique & Angola to help support the work of the gospel in these churches. We shall also show some of these wonderful photos in the 100th edition magazine to come out later this year.

Watch this space.

With thanks to the Bodleian Libraries, The University of Oxford and USPG Archives.
