The Anglican churches of Mozambique & Angola are growing at a fast pace; so much so that this year the 3 Dioceses of Mozambique are multiplying into 8 and the 1 Diocese of Angola is multiplying into 4. On top of that they will be become a whole new Portuguese-speaking Province called Igreja Anglicana de Mocambique e Angola – IAMA. It is hoped the inauguration of IAMA will take place in September. It is wonderful to see these dreams coming into reality and more ordinations taking place to support this growth.
Over the past month the names of the Vicar Generals have been announced who will lead these new missionary Dioceses before the Bishops are elected. Do pray for these men and the new Missionary Dioceses of Tete, Zambezia, Rio Pungue, Inhambane, Maciene (Mozambique) & Cristo Rei, Divina Esperanca, Centro e Sul de Angola (Angola).
